imm cologne – the International furniture and interiors fair 2019

CONDE HOUSE was participated in the imm cologne – the International furniture and interiors fair 2019, held in Germany from January 14 (Mon) to 20 (Sun). This year, we presented a new living-room model from the TEN collection and a brand-new collection, KOTAN, designed by Naoto Fukasawa.
Many people from all over the world visited our booth and appreciated the displayed items in terms of the design, style, and technique. We are sincerely grateful to those who have visited us in Cologne.

More openness in the new booth

This time, we relocated our exhibition booth from Hall 11, which we have been using for the past more than 10 years, to Hall 3. Due to the good location facing the spacious hallway, we were able to introduce our products to more people coming and going around the entrance.

CONDE HOUSE’s booth was designed under the concept of “Japanese aesthetics”. With small Japanese articles and art pieces, an essence of Japan was added to the simply designed booth, where the new models consequently received more attention.

New living-room items from the TEN collection

The new living-room model from the TEN collection was one of our main exhibition items this year. The living-room tables were popular among other items. Many people came to touch the smooth curves of the tabletop, and were surprised by how well it was finished to the finest detail.

Our regularly exhibited items such as the extension table and sideboard were also as popular as ever. This fair made us realize that the TEN collection has become an indispensable line both in Japan and overseas.

Introducing the new KOTAN collection

Our brand-new collection, KOTAN (designed by Naoto Fukasawa), was presented to the world for the first time. The eye-catching design with all elements eliminated to simplicity was highly recognized in the international market; especially those from Asia looked interested. From the feedback gained here, we become more confident about domestic roll out.

Other items that gained attention

Among our conventional products, people showed great interest in the “KINA Floor” designed by David Trubridge. People curiously observed this iconic piece of furniture, or objet d’art, took pictures of it, sat on it, and touched it. CONDE HOUSE made a new start of its 51st year since establishment under the slogan of “Craft your story: Let’s create a lifestyle together”, and was able to disseminate its style from Cologne to the world.
