CONDE HOUSE at ICFF 2019

Conde House will exhibit at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) again this year.
ICFF, held in New York every year in May, attracts approximately 40 thousand professionals (interior designers, architects, buyers) each time. There are booths of over 900 companies from all over the world displaying furniture, building materials, lights, and other objects.

TEN Living
Design: Michael Schneider
“TEN”, popular also outside Japan, has grown to be a series representing Conde House. New living room items were added this year. Based on one of the concepts of the series, “sharp & soft”, the new products blend well into a space furnished with “TEN Dining” objects. We will be presenting an armchair of clean-cut features and a set of tables made to enjoy combining them together.
Coffee tables, gaining popularity since the launch. Curved tops were developed together with the designer over many trials. These “special lines” are characteristic for the whole series. Thin steel legs give the tables an original “floating” impression.

KOTAN
Design: Naoto Fukasawa with Hiroyuki Tsuchida
This chair was born to become “a long life product of the next generation”, which is our third collaboration with the designer Naoto Fukasawa. Through a thorough reduction of elements we were able to combine strength, comfort and lightness. That created a chair you want to spend a lot of time with. The origin of the name is the Ainu word for a village or town, “kotan”. It is a versatile chair which can be used on its own or for a family dining room, but also in cafes or restaurants. Part of its charm lies also in the “airy” feel of the Hokkaido ash wood.

NUPRI
Design: Toshiyuki Kita
The inspiration for NUPRI was drawn from the history and severe nature of Hokkaido. That is the beginning of this new collection with a cultural background unique to this region. Toshiyuki Kita says: “As it was designed to represent the connections between nature (trees, namely) and a human body, I named it after the Ainu word for the mountain”. After the display at Milano Design Week, this time we are going to disseminate Hokkaido design to the world from North America.
